About My Courses

Canadian Firearms Safety Courses are scheduled every weekend from mid April to mid November. Class size is limited to twelve students per instructor to ensure that you get the attention and hands on practice you need to master firearms safety and pass the tests, in keeping with the standards set by the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario.

Courses & exams are provided in English therefore good comprehension of the language is required 

 


CANADIAN FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE

(CFSC FOR RIFLES & SHOTGUNS) "PAL"


  •  »Prerequisite: Students 14 & older can register for with parental consent.
  • CFSC course fee of $215.95: includes 
  • PowerPoint presentation, hands on coaching and training, written/ practical exams and applicable paperwork. Fee does not include miscellaneous training materials. 

  • This course is a minimum 8 hours of training that will allow the student to apply for a Canadian firearms license "PAL". 
  • Minimal instructional hours do not include breaks, lunches or delivery of the examinations.
  • Note: courses run Saturday's from 8.30am to approximately 5.30pm continues Sundays for half day of review, written and hands on exams.
  • This basic firearms safety course is available to persons of all skill levels and employment requirements. The course includes discussion, handling of firearms, and lectures based around the five most common action types of rifles and shotguns (non-restricted firearms). Students will develop skills and knowledge in the following areas: Handling and using firearms in a safe manner, social responsibilities of firearms owners, storage, display, and transportation laws for non-restricted firearms. Upon successful completion of the written and practical exams, students may apply for their Firearms License "PAL" with the RCMP.
  • The Student Manual is an important resource for those taking the CFSC and/or CRFSC. All students should carefully read the manual prior to participating in course(s). The manual provides key information to support learning during the course and will serve as a reference guide after completion of the course(s).

CANADIAN RESTRICTED FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE

(CRFSC FOR PISTOLS & REVOLVERS)

 

  • »Prerequisite: Minimum 18 years of age and the successful completion of the Canadian Firearm Safety course or PAL.
  • Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety course fee of $215.95: includes

    PowerPoint presentation, hands on coaching and training, written/ practical exams and applicable paperwork. Fee does not include miscellaneous training materials. 

  • This is course is a minimum 6 hours of training that will allow the student to apply for a Canadian restricted firearms license "RPAL". Minimum instructional hours do not include breaks, lunches or delivery of the examinations. 

  • Note: courses run Saturday's from 8.30am to approximately 3.30pm continues Sundays for half day of 

  • review, written and hands on exams.

This firearms safety course is available to persons of all skill levels and meets employment requirements. The course includes discussion, handling of firearms, and lectures based around the most common action types of pistols and handguns (Restricted Firearms). Students will develop skills and knowledge in the following areas:

Handling and using restricted firearms in a safe manner, social responsibilities of restricted firearm ownership, storage, display, and transportation laws for restricted firearms. Upon successful completion of the written and practical exams, students may apply for their Restricted Firearms License with the RCMP.

Cancellation Policy

​It's important to make sure you are available for your course when you sign up.

Courses are provided as a venue like a concert or sporting event.

Courses are non refundable or transferable

if you miss the class or cannot attend your course date.
